OCTOBER
October: A Season of Beginning Again
By Skylar Dixon
October returns as a quiet invitation to come back home to ourselves.
The trees have begun their slow surrender, letting go in bursts of gold and amber. The air holds a certain honesty now; cooler, crisper, clearer, as if reminding us that we, too, are allowed to release what’s run its course. 🍁
There’s no rush here. Just rhythm and releasing. Just nature doing what it knows how to do.
For many of us, October brings memories and meaning: traditions wrapped in costumes and candy, or the soft comfort of sweaters, apple orchards, and warm drinks.
And yet, alongside the coziness, there’s often a quiet weight. Maybe it’s the shortening of days or the subtle fading of light and cooler temperatures beginning. And— it’s in the slowing down that begins to uncover what we’ve managed to outrun in busier seasons.
What a gift that can be.
This season, rather than resist the stillness or the shadows, what if we stepped into them with curiosity instead of fear? What if we allowed this time to be one of conscious return—not to what was, but to what is?
Because the truth is: it’s never too late to begin again. Not in October. Not on a random day of the week. Not in the middle of a sentence or a breath.
Each moment offers a fresh invitation to choose: to soften, to pause, to see ourselves more clearly.
There is power in presence. There is peace in simplicity.
And there is wisdom in honoring the space between what has been and what is becoming.
So let yourself be new here.
Let the heaviness fall with the leaves.
Let the wind carry away the versions of you that were built for a different season.
Let your becoming be quiet and unrushed.
Ask yourself gently:
✨Where am I holding on too tightly?
✨Where have I mistaken control for safety?
✨Where can I allow, instead of resist?
This isn’t about fixing or forcing. This is about feeling.
It’s about remembering your capacity to choose something different, no matter how long you've chosen otherwise.
This season doesn’t demand perfection.
It simply asks for presence.
So breathe.
Slow down.
Look around.
Begin again.🍂
Wishing you a soft, intentional October and fall season.
Love you Space!!
Lots of love,
