July

The sweet summer months —

While July can be a month of busyness and plans, it is also an opportunity to pause.

To tune into our energy.

To allow our inner childlike innocence to emerge through us, tapping into this light and airy freedom that is innately within.

Pausing to reevaluate what is and isn’t serving us.

To step out of our comfort zone and switch things up.

To practice the pause is one of our greatest gifts. At this near center point in the year, it seems especially important.

How can you give yourself what you need to feel nourished in all areas in the remaining days of July?

Tuning into your inner child when things seem to get busy, thinking of when summer was about soaking up the sunshine and play.

Bring that unworried, untroubled energy forth, allowing the July sun to not exhaust but to fuel your inner incandescent glow.

A grounding practice for you to take when you need by Brooke Bacon

MANTRA

"I am present with my emotions, embracing them with love and acceptance. I am worthy of love, happiness, and fulfillment." Repeat this mantra to yourself, as a reminder to be fully present with your emotions, offering them a compassionate and nurturing space to be acknowledged and experienced, and allowing its positive energy to uplift and empower you. Remember that your feelings are valid, and it's important to prioritize your emotional well-being.”

MEDITATION

Inhale and exhale a few times and breathe relaxation into your body.

Visualize a green light in the center of your chest, where your heart chakra is located. Imagine this light growing brighter with each breath, filling your entire chest area.

1. As you continue to breathe, focus on feelings of love, compassion, and forgiveness. Think about a person or situation that brings up feelings of warmth and love within you. Hold that image in your mind and let those positive emotions flow.

2. Imagine that the green light expands beyond your chest, enveloping your entire body. Feel its soothing energy spreading to every cell, rejuvenating and healing you.

3. My heart is open to giving and receiving love," or " radiate love and compassion to myself and others."

4. If any negative emotions or past hurts arise during the meditation, acknowledge them without judgment. Allow yourself to feel them, and then gently release them, letting go of any emotional blockages.

5. You are the universe expressing itself, that is why it feels so good to see and be seen.

6. To see others and ourselves in our fullest expression. To love without borders. To live in love instead of fear. To open the cage of your heart and let the light in. To transform the pain into exquisite beauty only your soul can express. To love. To be loved. It starts within you.

7. When we see our most authentic expression we are in love. When we see the love in others and are not bound by negative thinking patterns that we have picked up somewhere.

8. Stay in this state of open-heartedness and connectedness for as long as you feel comfortable. When you're ready, slowly bring your awareness back to the present moment, wiggling your fingers and toes, and gradually opening your eyes.

9. Remember, consistent practice can deepen the effects of this meditation. Be patient with yourself and allow the process of opening your heart to unfold naturally over time.

get into the heart

A pose and reflection written by Sara Cook

To be GRATEFUL for the good, the bad and the ugly. We wouldn’t be where we are today without ALL of it.

We are halfway through the year let’s be grateful for the half of the year we have lived but also for the half that is YET TO COME!

Let’s open our hearts.

You need a block, bolster or a small narrow throw pillow. Place under your back while you lie down. Arms out to goal post arms. Let the chest and heart really open. Hold for as long as you can. With the world of go go go we are constantly closing our bodies inward. Hunching our backs looking at our phones and computers. Take a break- sit up Inhale and exhale slowly. Then REPEAT!

Benefits- Opening the heart chakra. Opening, expanding and stretching your chest and arms.
