The Space

March brings new hope, as we peel back the layers winter has gradually built over us. We have the opportunity to release, make room, get back in touch. Less about hibernation, more about stepping IN. Can you dedicate March as a new beginning? Its the cusp, we begin to turn over, into a new realm. A new season.

So two feet in. How can you arrive? How can you re-dedicate your time, energy, your essence, to the things, places and people it should be poured into?

What would it look like to free yourself?
To release and create?
To get really picky on what gets to stay and take up space?

Two feet in. You decide.

“two feet in
this year
i choose to burn my good candles
on a Tuesday at noon
just because
i choose to use the expensive lotion
the one i keep tucked safe up on the counter
not ration any of my most cherished belongings
because i am worth investing in ---right now

this year I choose to wear that thing
you know
the one I told myself I would slip on
when I looked a certain way?
I choose to love my body
this vessel I have been given
and her seasons as they shift

this year
I give myself permission to change
and keep changing
for I understand
there is an underlying truth when it comes
to becoming- it doesn't have to mirror anyone else

this year
I choose to let go
really let go
of the heavy
of the half-hearted
no more forcing connection
where it no longer lives
I choose to nourish
what's willing to grow

this year
I choose to be grateful
for the teachings of my yesterday
I honor my wholeness
when I honor my whole self- even the shaky parts

this year
I choose to step forward

clear eyes
heart open
two feet grounded

palms wide
to the all-is-possible
unknown
and new”

A note on February

We did A LOT in February.

We welcomed our 4th (!) group of Teachers in Training who are embarking on an RTY-200 Certification over three months. We hosted a 3 part series for the Tween Collective, a Tween age group girls workshop on empowerment. Special thanks to Claudia Garrett, Sarah Hively, and Liz Emiley. Kelli McMullen and guest Susie Kamen led a group of individuals through a 4 week Process series (our 2nd edition!) all about redefining and navigating relationships. We hosted a Union class where we raised over $400 for a local family in need after a sudden tragic loss. Hayley Pierzynski led a Breakdown class on Yoga 101, stay tuned for the next one! Mala’s + Movement was a success, thank you Joy Echlin! Ali Walker sealed out the month for us with the third offering of the Spirit, our faith based class.

A short month with a lot of moving pieces. Thank you for showing up with us Tribe. What a impact we are making within ourselves that we get to share with our community. Thank you.

Limited edition. Space embroidered. Rep us— with class, comfort, and just about anywhere. Dress it up, wear it to yoga, you pick.

LETS MOVE

Song : Running Over by Justin Bieber

Move : Start in plank pose. Find a slight rock, once beat drops, drag right knee to right elbow, extend, find the left side. Think reallllly slow mountain climbers. Follow the beat, taking at least 10 on each side, alternating or keeping to one and then switching. Take two push ups, chaturanga. Squeeze elbows into ribs, lower down, inhale heart rises, hips on the ground. Pause, and look over each shoulder. Exhale, down dog. Begin again. Taking it at your pace. Let it be a yummy breath to movement sequence for you. Add what you need along the way.
